Happy New Year!

One of my favorite images of 2010, by Kev Richardson

I know this is coming a little late, but I wanted to wish everyone a very happy start to 2011. Chris and I spent New Years literally out in the middle of the Maine woods, so no glamourous New Years Eve photos today. We had a huge bonfire, drank whiskey, snowmobiled home and were in bed by 11 pm, I know big partiers, right?

I am one of those people who make resolutions every year, but the only place I seem to write them down is on this blog. So I thought I would share my resolutions for 2011 with you:

In 2011 I plan to:
-Marry the love of my life on August 20th and have a grand time at our wedding and not let the stress take over.
-Make more of an effort to stay in touch with the people I care about and call friends who I haven't spoken with in too long.
-Be more mindful of how I spend my money, and save some of it for once.
-Make a decision regarding what I truly want to do with my life.
-Concentrate on what really makes me happy, not on what looks good on paper.
-Take better care of myself. drink more water, take my vitamins, remember how good I feel after going to the gym.

What are your New Years 2011 resolutions?

These are almost my resolutions exactly, especially "Make a decision regarding what I truly want to do with my life." And "Concentrate on what really makes me happy, not what looks good on paper." Those are really, really big ones. Good luck, and congrats on the wedding!

I love this picture of you and Chris.

One of my goals for 2011 is to pick up the phone more as well. I feel like in the past year I only communicate with my friends through text message or email.

I share a lot of those resolutions! Especially making decisions about the future and coming up with a plan. Good luck to you, and best wishes for this year!

I started reading this blog when my sister Emily "shared" it with me on my Facebook wall this last September and I just want to say I think you are such a lovely witty perso!!

I'm a Twin Cities, Minnesota teenager, and this year I finally got out of my suburban school and into a two year arts school for juniors and seniors in the cities where I am majoring in literary arts. At the school (unlike my old school) there are so many people who love to be daring and rather hipster with their styles like I do.

I often get sparks of inspiration from your blog and like you I buy almost all of my clothing recycled. Just wanted to say that reading this each day is so fun and you are such a talented person! I love what you write and your style is just so creative and stunning! Thanks for making this blog! & Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!
Those are great resolutions :)

Mine are to play more guitar, keep things clean, continue exercising and blogging consistently, and HAVE FUN without stressing out so much. :)

very sweet photo! Your New years sounds so nice and mellow.

My number one resolution is to listen to my own voice. Not others but take into consideration what I want and what I believe. 2011 here I come.

All the best!

Happy new year, Julie! One of my new years resolutions is to pass my driving test next week. It was cancelled last month due to snow, but this time I'm feeling so confident I've already bought a thank you gift for my instructor.

August is a great month to get married. I know I'm biased though, I got married on an August 25th.
