A recent realization: I understand why so many futuristic, dystopian films show society relegated to jumpsuits (am I imagining this? ... I might be. No, I'm totally not: Tron and Bladerunner both heavily showcased jumpsuits...), these things save time. A lot of time. I was actually dressed before Chris this past Saturday before we went out for breakfast.

In other news:

I would be totally OK with it if my hair decided to grow faster

I'm on day 17 of my 3rd Whole30 challenge and am feeling pretty fantastic, a nice reminder of how clear-headed I feel without sugar.

I can not wait to go home for Thanksgiving this year and am pretty much counting down the days.

On that note, I've really been missing Maine lately. More than usual.

Our car broke down.

This fall has been unusually warm.

I do not have a Halloween costume. What are you going as?

This outfit is amazing. I love easy outfits, I really do. And that's a good question! I have no idea what I'm being for Halloween yet this year! Thanks to the warmer than usual weather it hasn't really felt like Halloween-time

Fall has definitely been unusually warm where I am too. I just want to wear layers comfortably!
In other news you're rocking this jumpsuit. I never realized there were so many jumpsuits in future movies but you're right that they're super easy to throw on. Plus they're very unisex so everyone in those dystopian societies can wear the exact same thing while Big Brother watches.

I think you just gave me the courage to wear my own denim jumpsuit out for the first time! Because wow, you just look awesome and flawless. Bring on the dystopia! ;) I actually had a canary yellow jumpsuit as a kid, given to me by a very tiny aunt, and I wore it to play astronaut and April O'Neill. ;) Your Halloween costume could be Rosie the Riveter if you wanna use this jumpsuit, you know! Or Random Hunger Games Character!

This outfit is pretty darn amazing! I'm jealous of anyone that can pull off the jumpsuit look and Julie you look phenomenal! I would really love to hear more about your experience with the Whole 30. I'm hoping this year when Will and I are back in Phoenix (and have a grocery store down the street instead of 45 mins away) we will be able to give it a try.

Love your hair! How did you do it? Does it come undone easily? Looks delicate.

Anon - I just twist back the awful front section and pin it on the side. I'm going to do a post about dealing with it soon :)

#1 Sorry to hear about your car!
#2 Fall has been delightfully warm. I heard through the grapevine that that's an indicator of a very snowy winter. Yeesh. Which is cool, if that's your bag.
#3 Decided last minute to go to a costume party & then scrambled to put together a costume. Best I could come up with was "beatnik"...black turtleneck, black skinnies, mom's red beret from college, various Mod jewelery pieces, and dramatic eye makeup. Or, as my friend said, "just what you usually wear." ;)

Ugh, how are you just so fricking badass Julie. You look amazing, like a Margaret Atwood heroine (As I like to imagine them anyway). I feel you with the homesickness. I'm about 5 hours away from home (pretty much as far away as you can get in England) and I'm missing the sea and the smell of autumn badly despite loving my city. Its a tough one.

That jumpsuit would be perfect for a Rosie the Riveter costume!!! You know, the girl on the "We can do it!" poster! :)

1. I got the worst haircut of my life in May, like gut-wrenching, cry everytime I looked in a mirror bad. I took Biotin twice a day and put a little body oil on the ends of my hair. Within about 6 weeks it was long enough that I could get it re-shaped. And for the record, your hair always looks great to me!
2.Hmm...I wanna try this no sugar thing. Do you do it alone or does your husband also do it? How would you handle that?
3. Have a WONDERFUL Halloween, and I hope things start looking up for you soon (literally, up north to Maine).
