High-Waisted for Lack of a Better Title

In this outfit:
Tank c/o Thief & Bandit
Lace Top: Vintage (mom's)
Jeans: Vintage ($10 Avalon Ex.)
Wedges: Buffalo Ex. ($40)
Bag: Vintage ($7 thrift)
Cuff: Thrifted ($2)
Belt: AA ($16)
Earrings c/o Noble Town Vintage

Maybe it's the weather, but I've been in such a dress mood for the past couple of months, I feel like I've been neglecting the pants-portion of my wardrobe. Do you ever get fixated on a specific piece of clothing? Anyways, I bought these amazing vintage jeans a few months ago, and finally dragged them out of hiding this week. If you can't tell already, they're really, really high-waisted. So high-waisted that they actually reach my natural waist, which is fine until about 4 o'clock in the afternoon at which point I felt like I needed to rip them off my body due to strangulation- a swift reminder of why I prefer dresses and skirts.

Totally feel you sister. I've been in the same mode. In fact, today I am wearing jeans because I feel like it's been an eternity since I covered my legs. Love these high waisted jeans lady!

I ALWAYS have that problem. My wardrobe is mostly dresses and I recently realized I have to start paying more attention to all the shorts and pants I have... (tear). You should wear pants more often, you look amazing - especially in high waisted ones!

These jeans look amazing on you! Lovely combo with the crochet top, so 70s and hippiesque! :-)

Whew, I thought I was the only one who finds high-waisted pants uncomfortable! Too bad, because I love the style and look of them.

I was just talking to my co-worker about how I love high-waisted jeans. Once I lose enough weight, you bet I'll be buying a pair. Ah, and the lace, just wonderful. I love it when your hair is up in a bun like that. So summer-y!

i have this incredible, uber high-waisted (also to my natural waist!) denim skirt, which i always neglect. from working in an office, my plethora of denim pieces tend to fall to waste (pun!), especially the skirts.

maybe this weekend i will rock my tribute to 1970s, "dazed and confused" fashion....

You look so 70's and adorable! I'm the same way with anything around my waist - belts, elastic, pants, tights - I always feel like I'm going crazy after a few hours. At least you look super cute! :)

I have a pair of super high waisted pants just like these. And I don't wear them as often as other pieces in my wardrobe for just this same reason. You look fabulous in your outfit. That bag is incredible.
