I mentioned last week that Mandy took me thrift shopping a couple of weekends ago, the thing I love about thrifting that always has me coming back (no matter how many times I say I'm taking a break from the bargains) is that, if you look hard enough, you find the things that have been on your "want" list forever. I'd been pining for a little jean vest to throw over t-shirts and dresses for the longest time, there was a nice one from J.Crew awhile back, but I just couldn't shell out $70 for something that, stylistically, I wasn't totally sure about. $3.99 on the other hand is much more reasonable. I found these Doc Martin mary janes at the same place, they're so comfortable and they remind me of 1997 and middle school.

Love this outfit, literally from head to toe. that jacket and those shoes are such stellar finds! I've been craving some mary jane DMs but I'm holding out from paying full price until I know I will wear them all the time. This outfit might have pushed me one step closer to investing!

Ah, those shoes! I had quite the collection of Docs back in the day, and I really wish I had kept a few pairs. You know, I bought a pair of floral jeans (yes, floral jeans) that would look rad with those!

very grunge-y 90's, but still modern! gotta love the thrift store for the bargains--i do so much that it's hard to buy anything full price anymore!!

yesterday, i got a full length velvet coat for the holidays, black with rhinestone buttons. adorable, but a bit too out there to spend more than 15$ on....
