Daily Style...

Shirt: Vintage Stock via Salvation Army (2.99)
Skirt: Vintage via Salvation Army (1.99)
Shoes: Urban Outfitters (19.99 sale)
Belt: Vintage via Flea Market (2.00)
Tights: TjMaxx (4.99)
Necklace: J.Crew (14.99 sale)
I was really excited to find an outfit in which to wear this shirt. I bought it a while ago on a trip to Maine, but until now I wasn't sure how to wear it. I love the rough texture of the material, and if you look closely you'll see flecks of blue, purple, and pink in the white plaid. I thought it had a bit of a cowboy vibe, so I paired it with this suede skirt and south-western-esque beaded belt.

So much for the snow we were expecting, I have to admit I had gotten my hopes up that the school would be closed for a snow day today. Unfortunately the weather was spectacularly crappy, and I still had to go to work. Further north of us got hit with serious snow, but all we got was buckets of rain/sleet and super gusty winds. So this miserable turn of events is why my photos are indoors. I have to admit, I hate taking pictures in my apartment- the light is low, there isn't much space and my two cats tend to take over- wah, wah, wah, right?

Work was quiet and slow today, which just made me want to sleep. To add insult to injury I came home to this:
Cats are jerks, they always look so cozy. There are two in there by the way- they smush themselves into their kitten basket even though technically they are both too big.

You look great. I love that shirt; great find. I was fortunate enough to have a snow day today but ended up running around all day anyways! Your kitties are adorable too. I have 2 of them curled up next to me right now on the couch. Hope to see you at the blogger meet up on Saturday!

Such cute cats. I LOVE that outfit; the beautiful yellow, and your hairstyle is of course wonderful. I tried approximating it today but it didn't work out. Tomorrow I'll give it another go!

Lovely. I must say I am really jealous of your gallery wall. I need to get on that in 2010, and unpack my picture frames!

Awesome outfit! What a coincidence, I wore a skirt just like that, except in a darker color that I also got from a thrift short. I work a plaid shirt too, but red and brown. I totally dig the yellow shirt though,

Your outfit is almost as cute as those kitties of yours. Nothing could be cuter than a basket of kittens.

I love how you mixed the rough texture of the shirt with the suede. It looked great.

Cats are jerks like that! Mine usually look like they haven't left the spot they were in 8 hours before, when I get home from work.

Very cute look. I love the top.

Those cats are freakin adorable! The weather today was completely nasty--at least those dudes had a cozy day.

I really like your outfit, especially the suede skirt. I love leather skirts! I know what you mean about the cats--sometimes I find my two cats snuggled up, much like yours in this photo, and get jealous about the responsibility-free lives they lead! But, they can't wear braided buns and suede skirts, so we might just have it better, huh?

Love this outfit, that shirt is really great. And I love the flats too, so cute and comfortable looking.

I'm so excited to not have snow in Munich yet, I keep hearing about it on all the US blogs and I'm just not looking forward to it :( But on an up note, your apartment looks awesome, I love seeing all the art behind you, so if snow days lets us catch a glimpse of that, it's not all bad. S.

I live in Connecticut and we experienced DREADFUL weather today so I feel your pain. All I wanted to do all day was cozy up! No such luck.

Your home looks lovely.. relaxed and stylish at the same time. And that shirt goes perfectly with the skirt!

I wish it would hurry up and snow over here in London. We usually end up having a snow day with only a few inches of snow on the ground. Everyone goes into panic mode and there's no public transport! It's quite funny really. The trains also suffer when it's very wet, and when it's too hot, lol. The train tracks just can't cope!!
