WORN: What to Wear In November with Tobi

It finally - sort of - feels like fall in Philadelphia, which means I'm diving into the bins of clothes I packed away six months ago in search of something new... ish. After months of simple, slightly desperate, summer dressing (how quickly "easy breezy" morphs into "I'll wear as little clothing as possible if only to stay slightly cooler") I love the layers and texture that accompany this season. Between working from home and super early mornings catching the train to NYC, my style has felt a little boring lately. When I'd typically be experimenting with new combinations and relishing the opportunity for tights and boots and sweaters and everything else, lately I've found myself relying on the same old combo of jeans and tee shirts. So when Tobi sent over a few pieces to style up, it was the perfect opportunity to find some fresh inspiration. Today I'm sharing four looks that are perfect for this November weather. Sweaters, boots, cozy coats... there's a little bit of everything...

Can't bring yourself to wear tights quite yet? Try a pair of over the knee boots - almost the same thing without the annoying control top/waistband. I love how this pretty lace dress contrasts with my leather jacket and burgundy bag - still comfortable to commute in, but quite as relaxed as my favorite jeans.

Honestly, this is probably the fourth or fifth time I've worn this outfit lately - it's one of my favorites. I love everything about it - especially how it keeps me warm and super comfortable, perfect for a day spent roaming around Philadelphia.

Vans checkered slip on sneakers

Two things I've embraced in the past several months: sneakers and relaxed pants. A year ago, these new staples didn't exist in my wardrobe, but now they're here to stay, especially paired with a feminine top.

Vintage denim jacket (more denim jackets here)

This dress is admittedly (really far) outside of my comfort zone. Besides tight jeans, I don't really do bodycon. BUT I'm a huge proponent for stepping beyond personal comfort zones and I actually love. this. dress. It's so cozy! With sneakers, a beanie, and my favorite denim jacket, it still feels like me while feeling fresh.
