Things you don't need at a festival: curling irons, large books. Things you absolutely do need: sunscreen, a major hat, and a good, solid backpack. Extra points if it looks good, fits all your camera gear, and magically transforms into a shoulder bag when you head to the bar at the end of the night. This deep blue, handmade beauty from Bali ELF arrived just in time to be put to work in the camera pit of weekend one of Austin City Limits, and has officially taken its place as my favorite do-everything bag. Plus that color. Who knew cerulean blue would go with absolutely everything?

We rolled in to Austin on Thursday morning, me with a bag full of unnecessary items (see: curling iron), kicking off the three day festival on Friday afternoon. Blazing hot sun, too many tacos, catching as many sets as possible. It was a whirlwind weekend, but an incredible one. Work can be stressful at times, but it's experiences like this that remind me why I do what I do, and why I love it. Standing a few feet away from Father John Misty, Tame Impala... Sylvan Esso... with my camera... I'm not too cool to admit what an incredible experience it is.

More pics to come :)
