Cemetery Strolls

Sometimes you have a yard sale with your friend and you end up bringing things home. And sometimes those things turn into the perfect outfit. That precise thing happened this weekend when I grabbed this dress and bag from my partner-in-crime (in exchange for a pair of sunglasses and a chicken necklace ... that's a necklace with a chicken on it, not a necklace for a chicken), which are now in heavy rotation in my closet. After our sale on Saturday I changed into this to feel a little more put together to grab groceries and iced coffee with Chris, and then I wore it again on Sunday (the day these photos were taken with Chris's phone) to check out our other friend's new tattoo shop and to drink drinks (and to get way sunburned in the process, despite my best SPF efforts).

Since we're usually hiking or doing something else active on off days, my weekend style tends to lean towards the way-casual (cut-offs, Birks, tee shirts). So when the opportunity arises to get dressed up a bit, I jump on it, even if it's just going to the grocery store, grabbing coffee, or walking through the cemetery to our friend's tattoo shop. Oh, and we saw a fawn on our cemetery walk (where these photos were taken), it was so tiny compared to it's mother, and so precious and wobbly. I'd never seen one so close before.
