Monday Morning

Just something I found on Kaelah's blog that I immediately added to my Pinterest. I can't get get it out of my head. Every time I feel a little homesick, which comes in waves, I remind myself of this and feel affirmed of our choice to move. I'll admit though, it was really nice to see a seagull this weekend.

Hope you're having a happy Monday!

I know what you mean- my career often takes me on the road for months at a time- but whenever you get homesick, just remember that all of your friends back home are so proud of you and will always have your back. I remember that thought stressed me out so much that if I was gone, would they forget about me? And they never did- and that's when I learned the true meaning of friendship. Strong relationships will stay strong, no matter how much time goes by.

when i first moved to pittsburgh, being newly landlocked was really hard. i was coming from practically living in between cape cod and narragansett bay my entire life! i love pittsburgh, but for a city, it can feel rather isolated at times.

That is so funny, because I just discovered that quote in December and I couldn't get it out of my head either. It's so incredibly true and meaningful. I even mentioned it, and allowed it to dictate the look of one of this blog post: http://natashafatah.blogspot.com/2011/12/what-ships-are-for.html
