Man, I've got some roots going on, huh? This was one of those outfits that I wasn't totally sold on when I left the house. Basically, it came down to having to leave for work, and this was what I was wearing at that time. I'm glad I was forced out of my comfort zone though, even though I may still not be sold on it- I've been so bored with my closet lately, I think it's a good thing to be a little uncomfortable (metaphorically) every now and then. Something about this time of year, I feel like I've worn everything in my closet at least a million times- I haven't, for the record -and I'm so sick of tights! I'm pining for the days of throwing on a dress and sandals. This is when thrift shopping is a god send, I can add something "new" to my closet and get a little refresher, without breaking the bank or feeling guilty about it.
Mandy, Terra, and I hit up Goodwill, Thriftique, and Salvation Army this weekend, and I came away with some good winter finds. For you Pittsburgh residents, Thriftique is having a 75% off sale on clothing, shoes, and accessories, which is amazing.
Did you watch the Super Bowl this weekend? We didn't, although *cough*cough* I was a little interested to see how the Patriots would do, but all we have is Apple TV/Netflix so instead we watched Friday Night Lights- which I'm now obsessed with.

tons of my friends have been raving about "friday night lights".... i am not a football fan, but neither are any of they, really, so i am guessing it is actually good?
love the top! thrifting in pennsylvania is my all-time favorite, such good finds!

Blue Roses: I'm not a huge football fan either, but it's SO good! It takes a couple of episodes to get into, but I highly recommend it!
I adore your look, it's especially lovely with your jacket, such a nice twist. And yes I've SO been feeling the same, it really does feel like I've worn my clothes a million times. I see, I 'll have to hit the thrift store - thanks for the tip/reminder. Hope your day is lovely, Julie. xo veronika
I love this look! :) You look so good in leopard print! <3
Love that skirt! And I am so tired of tights too! I've got dozens of them but feel I have worn them each a thousand times this winter already and it's getting frustrating! I went thrifting yesterday and it was great because i got new things without feeling guilty or breaking the bank (in your words) and I am wearing some really cool stuff no one else has today! x
gorgeous blouse!!

Funny that you say you weren't totally sold on this outfit, cause as soon as I saw it, I was hooked! I love the colour combination, the proportions, and the accessories. Although I must admit I feel you about the tights conundrum. . . come late winter I can't wait to be bare-legged, and come late summer all I want is for it to be cool enough for tights. We have such dilemmas, eh? ;)
I love your hair!
Gorgueous, a very lady rocker look. The skirt is amazing (1.50$? Really?????????), and a like a lot this rose tone of your tights with the leopard print:)
I think the leopad and maroon tights are a great combination. I don't often think to wear the gold and maroon together becaue it was my high school college team color set.
Anais: Thank you! I found the skirt in my Admissions Counselor days in a Salvation Army in the middle of nowhere, it's one of my favorite finds yet!
Your hair is so long! Holy Moly!
What great thrift finds!! esp that top! Such a steal!

I hear ya! I'm sooo sick of tights too! Yesterday I worn nude fishnets instead...still kept me warm without any added color!
I was going to say how much I love your tights and then read how annoyed you are with them right now... haha But this is a really great outfit for having just thrown it on to get out of the house!

awww no way, you looked adorable in that outfit! If I didn't tell you that while you were wearing it, this is me going back in time to tell you, so hopefully that takes away a slight amount of discomfort! =D

This outfit is so cool. I love the leopard print blouse and suede skirt paired together. The color of your tights is so neat too.
Your booties are awesome! So unique, it's rare to see a square toe these days.
