Oh man, it's definitely Monday, huh? Did you have a good weekend? I did. Lots of thrifting, food, and relaxing. Each weekend, I've also been making a big effort to pare down my closet, weeding out the things I haven't worn in ages, like this grey sweater. It was almost cut, but at the last minute, I decided to try it one more time. I honestly haven't worn it since this post, which is silly because it's such a great basic piece. I kept things mostly mono-chrome, save for some rust colored tights, and added my seagull pin. I realized the other day how strange it is to not hear or see seagulls anymore, as much as I kind of hate them (they steal your sandwich at the beach and ruin the paint job on your car), I do also miss their calls. They used to sit outside our windows and pester the cats.

have you seen "winged migration"? incredibly stunning and uplifting documentary, i highly recommend it. could provide further inspiration to wear this gull pin, and other aviary finds!
also, good idea on keeping the sweater, it fits well and is a beautiful shade; plus, it looks warm!

Pretty pretty outfit and love the gull! Alot less cutesy than most bird pins but its brilliant!
I can't wait to clean out my wardrobe and reorganise, but I am revising hard for my masters and can't justify the break. In 3 weeks time I will get on with it!!

Love this outfit! The gull pin is such the perfect touch and I'm still in love with collars, don't know if that obsession will ever pass. I always love seeing the seagulls when I go to the beach but then I remember what little crafty birds they are haha!
I have been wanting to go through my closet lately but it's been unseasonably warm even for NOLA so I have been resisting a clean up until the weather switches to wam permanently. The color of your hair in that last shot is fabulous. I can't remember if you do any color or not but it's a great set of tones.
For some reason this look reminds me of Clueless (when Cher is looking for the most responsible outfit for her driving test and asks Lucy where her shirt with the seagulls on it is).
I love this outfit so very much! The rust tights add fun to the chic neutral look. And, of course, the seagull pin is very fun as well.

Ugh, yes...it for sure is Monday, haha. Mondays are usually that Monday-ish for me, but today is pretty blah.
I have so many sweaters in basic colors, and even though I don't wear them all as much as I should like to, I can't get rid of them. They're too versatile and I know I'll use them eventually. Glad you kept this one! :)
I cannot get over how darling that seagull brooch is...I love anything ocean-related and it looks beautiful with that sweater. I'm always on the lookout for fun brooches when I go thrifting but I never seem to find any...

I can't believe you almost cut that sweater... I've been looking for exactly it for six months! Anyway, you look excellent. I kind of love seagulls because they're so strident in their personalities, but they can be annoying when you have a sandwich...

The colors here are amazing!! I just got back from a Florida trip, and I'll admit, the seagull calls are pretty amazing. Oh, and so are the color of those tights!!
