Braving the Snow

One-piece c/o Dalaga, NYC
Sweater: J.Crew
Fur collar: Great-Grandmother's
Tights: AA
Shoes: Vintage thrifted
Woven bracelet's: gift from Punky
Necklace: Madewell (sale, last year)

Snow! It was SO COLD out when we took these pictures, and about 30 minutes later I found myself driving home from work early because of how bad the roads were. Mandy and I braved the snow and wind for outfit photos though! Lately I've
felt that I've been in a bit of a style rut, so taking advantage of having Monday off, I planned my outfits for the week. This was one I put together. I'm not sure if I've ever worn a one piece before- I refuse to call it a romper...blerg- but I fell hard for the light fabric and scalloped edges of this one. My only complaint with them: I can't help but feel like George Costanza when use of the bathroom is required, do you remember that episode? Ha. Anyways, all weird references aside, I love this piece, especially dressed up for work with a cardigan and an antique fur. Definitely changed my viewpoint on...rompers.

Hi - long time lurker, I think first time commenter.

Just wanted to say that I, too, am not a fan of one piece suits/rompers either but this does look so lovely, dainty and ladylike! I love the pink/grey combination! And love the shoes :)

Hey!

I just re-found your blog via JenLovesKev. I've looked at it before, but I didn't realize you live in Pittsburgh! Pittsburgh is great. I've lived here my whole life except for college and a brief stint in the Bay Area. My boyfriend and I live in Lawrenceville and love it. Please feel free to email me if you ever are curious about stuff to do in Pittsburgh/Western PA. Welcome to the burgh!

I love that (romper?)! The color and scalloped edges are really sweet, and it looks perfect with the navy cardigan and fur collar. I can't believe you braved the snow in that, though! True dedication.

Think you could send some snow my way? :)

whenever i say romper, i think of the pool or the beach; it just does not seem to be snow appropriate jargon.

adore your fur collar! it assimilates perfectly with the sweater, i could have sworn they were attached!

I love how you wear your vintage fur collar. I have a similar one -but I always have trouble getting it to stay on sweaters and coats etc. Do you use pins to attach the collar to your sweaters? Does that damage the lining? If not, how do you affix the fur collar? Thanks!

The title of this post is spot on, you must have been very brave to be out in the elements like that. Brrr.... You're looking great anyway. I'm also planning on spending some of my day off tomorrow styling up some outfits for the coming week. Happy New Years!

hahaha george costanza, once I was peeing in a port-o-potty and I was wearing a romper, so basically I was peeing naked and someone ripped open the cheap plastic door. Anyways, you look AMAZING, I love the scalloped edges and the color and how you accessorized and your super awesome hair in that bun!

To Christina who asked about my collar: It is actually made to be attached to different garments, there are little pins on the inside that attach to coats, sweaters etc!
