What's that in the background? Snow?! Yep, we're stepping back in time today, only by a couple of days though. On Saturday morning I woke up and looked out the window, only to find a wintry wonderland had replaced the late-fall glory of the changing leaves. While we only got about a half an inch (compared to the foot my mother had at her house), it stuck around for the rest of the day. Winter, I'm just not ready for you. Thank goodness it melted! Chris and I really haven't had much of a chance to explore our new city, between jumping right in to work, and having a new apartment to settle into, we mostly just ran errands on Saturday. I have been enjoying the fresh dose of fashion inspiration that moving has provided, even when just going out to the grocery store, I've been loving actually getting dressed for it. For Saturday, I donned a leopard print silk top I've had in my closet forever, and paired it with the coziest sweater I own, it was perfect for what the day had in store for us, and for a drive around the city. Did you get snow where you live?

No, I didn't get any snow, although I wouldn't mind right now. Where I live we usually get the first snow at the end of November.
Your outfit is lovely as always and I especially like your shoes! After wanting some like these for over a year already I finally bought some last week and I can't take them of my feet!
Oh, I adore that cozy cardigan! Perfect for winter :)

Yes we got snow! I moved from Delaware to western Maine for school :) Not as much as your mom got in Portland but still a good 5 inches or so! Hope your move went well and your adjusting to your new home. So weird that our moves were the opposite! I would have never guessed you'd move out of New England but that opportunity was too good to pass up! Maybe do a post sometime this winter on how to stay stylish but warm? I'm gonna need it! And as usual you look perfect!
<3
A perfect Saturday look! I love everything and am looking for similar grey shoes, yay for the inspiration!
We haven't gotten snow in Canada yet, which is surprising because usually we get a little at least once before Halloween but I'm not complaining, I'm not ready neither!
It's so surreal yet exciting to see you in a new environment!! Hope all is well with the new life!

Kelsey: So funny that our moves were opposite! I'll definitely do a cold weather post this winter, I think I could probably use the inspiration myself!
Your sweater looks so cozy and I wish I was curled up in it right now! Totally not ready for this winter weather yet.
I LOVE that sweater, it looks so cozy!

ahhh that sweater is amazing! such an awesome texture!
leopard and navy are such a classic pairing, beautiful look.
i love getting dressed up for the tiniest errands, like grocery shopping, if i have the time, which is always elusive. it helps me appreciate what i have in my closet, and allows me to display a certain pride in my self.
exploring a new city is always an adventure, what fun!

No snow for us yet, it's actually been a mild autumn so far which I think means a really harsh winter unfortunately. You look so warm and cosy in this look though, love the subtle leopard print and those shoes are so chic!
My leopard print silk top is a staple for me. I really love yours paired with the jeans and comfy cardigan. Cool shoes too!
i don't know if it's just me being a Leo but i am so into animal prints right now..i'm hungry for them. ironically though, i haven't been lucky enough to thrift good animal-printed items..and i only so far have a vest and dress. your outfit is just a perfect balance between classic and trendy..love it! <3
