Thank you all so much for your incredibly kind and supportive words on my post last friday! I'm so excited to be working where I am, and so excited to see where Orchid Grey will go in the future. Hanna asked me what exactly my job entails, and basically my job is split in two: half my time is spent dreaming up blog posts for the ModCloth blog, and the other half is spent composing product descriptions (like this one). vintage ferragamo's can totally be a tough find, especially with size and style and quality. as with any vintage shopping, there is always an element of the hunt, but i have been fortunate to live in two places in my recent years, ithaca and suburban northern new jersey, where rich old ladies like to donate clothes to places like the junior league.
i cannot vouch for vintage clothing shopping in your neck of the woods, but, for antiques, you are near the mecca, adamstown. if you like cocktail ware, jewelry, handbags, furniture, kitchen ware, you will find incredible things, for great prices, if you know how to look.
