So this is my work outfit that I put together yesterday (I mentioned it in this morning's post). I rarely pick out my clothes the day before (so, so rarely) but yesterday as I was picking up my half of the bedroom and threw these on the bed together and it serendipitously made sense. Because it's still not warm enough to go sans tights, I added some sheer grey tights and swapped out the brown belt for purple. I love grey and purple together. All in all I like how it came together, but it definitely felt like a work outfit, which isn't necessarily bad but lately I feel as though my tastes have been straddling the preppy look and something slightly more bohemian. I don't really have a problem with dressing a million different ways, I think that's the whole point of fashion and style. Do you have one specific style you stick to, or do you like to switch it up? Both outfits this week are work outfits, I love that I can wear casual clothes to work, it makes getting ready SO much easier!
Chris and I both have the afternoon off, so we're headed out to a late lunch, it's beautiful out! I think it's officially the nicest day we've had yet this year, 60 degrees and sunny. The windows are open, the cats have spring fever (racing around the house like maniacs), and everything smells like spring! Have an AMAZING afternoon! xo

you look very cute :)
Very cute! Do you normally buy belts that are longer so you can tie it like that? I tried to tie my belt like "Orchid Grey," but it doesn't work! :)
Sometimes I worry about a certain item, wondering if it truly fist my style but then again, everything you feel natural and comfortable in is "your style", so I guess there's no need for me or anyone else to worry about having a certain style. All the fun of dressing is gone when setting rules. :)
HGLV: I don't necessarily buy my belts too long on purpose, but sometimes I find one cheap and it's too big so i add an extra hole and loop it around. I'll try and put together a little video over the weekend showing how it's done!
Eliise: that's a great point!
oh i love that belt! perfect little color punch. it is gorgeous here as well, in the 70s! enjoy your day :)
love the plum belt, and the frindge on the shoes... too cute. adorable as always!
I love the dusty color palette and that necklace is super cute! I feel like I'm a bit of a style schizophrenic, it's something new every day! Luckily the dress code at my work is pretty much non-existent, so it doesn't matter what I wear!
it's the same here in western ny: sunny and 60. but i'm going bare legs. i've been constrained for far too long :)
i love your work outfit!for me it could be also an outfit for a coffee out- this skirt and the shoes seem so comfortable!
I love this...it looked cute on the bed...but it looks even cuter on:)
Amazing post. I love all of these. Don't forget to check out what my good friend Brad, Rachel Zoe's former associate shared with me and find out my latest trend.

i can't be more agree with you, beside im the kind of person who likes changes sometimes so my style depends of the way i feel in the day and like eliise said everything that make me feel natural an confortable that is how it works for me!! but i dont like to be just in one style its just a little bit bored to me, and thats what i adore about you, that you can changes but still looks like you jeje sorry for my long comment and my bad english im from venezuela and i love your blog XO
I love to switch styles. I think I dress according to my mood, I don't think you have to have one specific style.
Great outfit.

Have you guys checked out my giveaway yet?
Ooo I'm glad you did a full post on this- I loved the look of the outfit when you gave us a glimpse of it. That is one of my favourite colourways.

What? No green today?
This color combo. does look great, though. With Spring almost here, I am ready for brighter colors!
Great read, I enjoyed this post. I love how you twisted your belt and the outfit looks great! I love changing styles from day to day. Variety...is it not the spice of life? Besides, I can't decide which style I love the most on me but I love your style on you...don't change it suits you so well. Stop by sometime Julie and check out Mama cat that I rescued from a parking lot and now have in my garage until she has her kittens. She is a doll...and I love her because she is Timothy Winter's mama. I am now working with a rescue in Southern New Jersey, they are guiding me along with Mama. Have a great weekend and congrats on the Delightful Dozen...I am following along. Dawn Suitcase Vignettes
In love with the shoes, so pretty!
I love your denim colored shirt with the floral. That is definitely becoming one of my favorite combos.
I switch out my style as often as I brush my teeth!! (That would be daily)..hehe.. I'll be vintage one day and decked out in Forever21 the next. It keeps things interesting.
I love how you put this outfit together. When I saw the photo from your last post of your clothes on the bed I was thinking, that is going to be so cute!!
This is such a lovely outfit. Digging the spyglass pendant.
Oh I love this spring outfit! That skirt and necklace are both so unique, and I really like how you tied your belt!
Love to see such a stylish gal on a budget! Go girl!
Really great outfit!! I love the colors and it looks comfortable and stylish which I think can be the hardest thing. I'm always switching up my style. Daily, depending on my moods, and then every couple months as I get obsessed with new inspirations. Sometimes I wish my style was a little less schizophrenic, but it is what it is, and if I changed it wouldn't be "me" anymore, would it? That being said, you always look wonderful!
XOXO
I love purple and grey together, also. It makes a beautiful combination. I love the way your skirt makes me think of spring but in a more muted palette.
Speaking of bohemian, I've partnered with freehippie to have a great giveaway!

Cute look!
I definitely feel like I flip-flop between styles, especially as I am still in my 20s and experimenting. When I wear something I end up really loving, I know I've gotten one step closer to finding my truest style.

I'll try that- thanks for getting back with me! I <3 your blog - I discovered it a few months ago when I was snowed in for a few days... and now I refer to it often for cute ideas.
love the oufit! do you think you could make a tutorial video on how to tie up your belt like that?
This outfit is adorable! The shoes and sweater are so perfect--great dress too. I love this outfit, casual and sophisticated enough for work.
