It's been a little while since I last hosted a giveaway, and what better way to kick off chilly November than to giveaway a warm, cozy headband? The lovely Jamie of FigKnitting is offering one lucky reader the chance to win this sweet hand-knit headband. Don't you love that giant button?
To enter: All you have to do is visit FigKnitting and leave me a comment here telling me how you stay warm in the chilly winter months!
This contest is open to all, be sure to leave me an email address if you do not have a blog where I can easily reach you. Giveaway ends Monday November 15th at 10 pm est. Winner will be chosen at random using a random number generator.
Good Luck!

What an awesome creations!
I stay warm with layered gloves, as well as these same sort of knitted headbands. They are SO great for keeping my ears away from the wind (I have short hair, and protection from the wind is critical in the winter!!)

I like to wrap me and my sweet kiddos in a blanket next to our fire and drink hot soy chai's... wearing this headband =)

So cute! I stay warm by layering the heck out of everything. Scarves, hats, cardigans, big puffy jackets. It's never too many layers in January in Chicago! :)

my favorite way to stay warm is cuddle with my pooches. i have a hound mix named Munch who is VERY warm and loves to cuddle up under the blankets. he'll stay in the same position for hours... better than an electric blanket!

To stay warm I usually bundle up in a knee-length puffer coat, a big wool scarf, and cashmere gloves!
I keep warm with an assortment of scarves! So adding a head scarf to my wardrobe, like this one, would be perfect :)

Chicago is cold. Bone-chilling cold. I stay warm with mittens/chunky scarves/hats. Although I really need a wrap to cover my ears but not mess up my 'do. Would love one of those olive colored numbers! Thanks !
I'm in love! When I get cold, I bring out the gloves. I have multiple layers to them and even though they make things difficult to do (because my hands get so darn big) they keep me toasty!
To stay warm, I wear tons of layers and keep every inch of skin covered! I live in Calgary (Canada), so I have to deal with some pretty bone chilling weather. I would love one of those headbands to help keep me toasty!
I'm all about the scarf in the winter. It's a necessity. Now I'm thinking one of those hats will be a necessity.....
I wear lots of sweaters.

oh my goodness! those hats are sooo cute!
where i live, it gets freezing cold. it's already snowed a couple times. i wear lots of leggings, socks, boots, warm tunics, button downs, and scarves. and tea, coffee and sitting over heating vents work pretty well, too. =)
Aw, this store is so cute!
To stay warm, I layer layer layer layer layer layer layer LAYER. I just moved to Boston from a slightly warmer climate, so I'm learning the value of socks over leggings over tights.
Cute headbands!!
I layer my tights with runs under pants.
And I totally draw from Susie Bubble for warm inspiration, just pack on everything that looks vaguely warm.
I find it a must to wear my favorite pair of boots with a scarf and hat! Love your blog by the way!

What a cute shop!
I stay warm by layering, layering, layering! For example: Cardigans over button-ups over jersey shirts, tall boots over even taller socks over tights, or a pair of legwarmers hidden under jeans. That and I don't go anywhere without a pair of earmuffs, warm knit hat, and scarf.

In Portland OR, we have to try to stay warm AND dry! Lots of layers, warm gloves and galoshes!
What a super cute site :) I love knitted creations and there is something about hand-knitted things that just makes them so much more cozy!
I keep the New England winter weather away with chunky sweaters, huge wrap scarves that can double as blankets, big mugs of british blend tea and my two beagles <3

ahhh so cute! ALL of the headbands/hats that i saw on their site were super duper presh.
i stay warm with layers... tank + tee/top + cardigan + coat, warm and fuzzy scarves and some winter hats here and there. indoors, i love me a hoodie, some sweatpants and an oversized blanket complete with some instant hot chai.
All of the hats and headbands are so cute and original, I love them all!
Scarves are the best for staying warm, and a cute green headband of course!

real excited about this (me and my short hair need some help to stay warm).
I usually just layer up until I can hardly move.
Thanks for being so great!
I live in Arizona and our "winters" are bipolar starting off at 30 degrees in the mornings and going to the 80's in the afternoons! To stay warm in the mornings, but be able to be cool in the afternoons, I have to dress it layers! I wear light sweaters with cardigans and hoodies on top, but I always have trouble maintaining warmth without being too bulky!
Such cute headbands!

Adorable! I stay warm in the winters with cute hats, mittens and scarves and of course toasty long underwear. :)

I stay warm with big fat mittens, a pashmina scarf and a cup of hot chocolate!!
oh my goodness, i LOVE this headband!
i wouldn't say southern california gets super cold or anything compared to the rest of the country;), but we do have some chilly nights. and the be honest, i LOVE going to disneyland in the winter, especially at night! they have twinkle lights everywhere and the air smells like hot chocolate and coffee, people are dressed in coats and scarves and everyone is in a great mood. i love it. :)
layers layers layers!! :) i love big cardigans, particularily knitted ones which are very much in style now! and thick tights and boots. love thick knee high socks which actually look cute peeking over boots just a little. and scarves! and a hat... or a lovely knitted headband! http://improcrastinate.blogspot.com
I love the headbands! If I were talented, I'd make one, but I know that will never happen! I keep warm by wearing thick socks all winter, but would LOVE to add a hand knit headband...
i stay warm layering! i live in south florida so it usually doesn't get too cold so i layer so it's easy to get warm once the sun comes out : )

So cute! I love winter because I get to pull out all my warm blankets and sit on the couch piled under 2 or 3 of them!
lovealice22(at)gmail(dot)com
i stay warm with many cups of tea and vintage quilts...
Ooh her shop is too cute. Well I live in Canada and it can get quite chilly indeed. I like to double or even triple up on tights on those days when the wind chill is unrelenting. Gloves and hats are also a must!

I love layers in the winter! They're great to bundle up, but when you can easily shed when you enter a stuffy room.
What a cute little store. I love her pieces, my favorite is the vibrant purple with the big bow. Where I live we have to accessorize with warm hats as much as possible because it's always freezing!! {getcraftin@live.com}
I try to stay warm by staying inside, with lots of tea or perhaps hot chocolate! Failing that, it's layers, and a big coat!
ahhh, i love this time of year! chunky knits, soft fleece, wraps and shawls! its all about the warm cozy accessories that you grab to wrap around you....to keep you warm, while sitting by the fire, reading or cuddling.

As a Minnesotan, I of course have a ridiculous parka and the appropriate accoutrements for waiting at frosty bus stops and enjoying the many sparkly holiday parades (that, yes, occur despite the cold). But my favorite toasty trick for keeping off the cold is... smiling. No really. Smiling not only gets your ruddy cheek muscles moving, but it also releases endorphins, which makes you happy and relaxed which takes your mind off the cold and soothes sore, tight shoulders. It might also warm the hearts of some strangers too. :) - But really - :D.

So talented! I stay warm with lots of hot chocolate!
I stay warm cuddling with my boyfriend. Also by wearing cute warm hats. ;)
I wear knitted hats to keep warm during the winter months.
I love the knit flower headbands - so whimsical!
I stay warm in cold Montreal with Smartwool socks (the warmest socks out there, imo), my down jacket that comes down to my ankles (affectionately nicknamed my "sleeping bag"), and my thermos bottle of hot coffee.
So cute!!! I stay warm by going home to California for winter break...but when I'm in Boston I drink lots of hot coffee/chocolate and bundle myself in layers until I look like the Michelin Man. Not as cute, but very effective.
