These are the rest of the images from the Jess LC shoot that I did, featuring the Franklin Collection "Dream Bigger" necklace:

Dress: Vintage (hand-made by my aunt)
Bracelet: Modern Millie's VIntage ($4)
Necklace: Franklin Collection c/o Jess LC
Shoes: Andes Heels c/o ModCloth
Since the focus of my outfits is never really on the jewelry I'm wearing, I really enjoyed the challenge of creating an outfit that showed off my necklace. I wanted to keep things simple, but interesting so I chose a patterned dress and solid shoes. Before I received these shoes from ModCloth, I really only ever imagined that red shoes would go with this dress, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that the sea foam and red piping looked great with it! The shoes definitely push the 1940's feel of the outfit, So I chose to keep my hair down to avoid making it too costume-y.

I'm so happy it's thursday! I can't wait for this weekend, the weather has been so incredibly hot this week that my energy is completely sapped. I can't wait to go to the beach and some flea markets on saturday and sunday!
What intention would you choose, and why?

I love how all you girls styled the necklaces, they are so great!
And that dress is amazing, it's wonderful that your aunt made it, I have soo many clothes from my family members from yesteryear. It's my favorite thing to kinda step into their shoes, or for that matter, dress.
I just love your blog, and I think this may be the first time for me commenting. But I love it, your hair, your septum piercing (that's what I've always wanted but never had the courage... maybe this summer), and all your clothes. So great!
that dress is incredible and those shoes are so lovely! i like the location you choose to do the photo op as well!

That's hilarious, I know Adam very well, him and his boots with spurs, I drew a picture of him as a donkey and since then we've been friends, we actually were enemies for some reason freshman year, I don't know why haha! We started CCS the same year and we both in illustration, then he left us. But whenever that guy is in town I usually see him cause we all are friends with the same people, he's in San Fran now if you didn't know. It's such a small world. I actually almost got a job as admissions counselor at CCS haha.
Such a small world, and thanks for the compliments :)
oh yay you wore that dress again! I can't get enough of it....it is sooo beautiful and love it with those shoes!!! great color combo :D

You styled your look very lovely around the necklace. I really like those shoes with the dress as well, it really does go well :)
I am also wondering about your piercing, did it hurt? I always want to pierce my nose. But, I am a chicken shit.
This is a great look. I love the dress and the shoes. I love these necklaces as well. I think my favorite is "Be Present" because I tend to get too rapped up in the future and sometimes just need to remember to live in the moment.
Perfect.

I loved loved loved the dress so much and it goes perfectly with the shoes!!! Wonderful! And also, your hair looks very beautiful in these photos!
That dress is stunning, as are you! And ahh, those shoes! Incredible.
I love the sentiment behind these necklaces. I would choose Be Brave because it's something I need to work on - I am an anxious person and this stops me from doing a lot of things in life.

The shoes do look awesome with that dress, I never would have put the two together had they been pieces in my closet. I also really dig the concept behind the necklaces - I was reading about them on Jen's blog yesterday. I think it's so nice to have the message there but not display it to the world.
those shoes are DARLING! i'm not sure what intention i would choose, i love them all. :) i've always been a big a dreamer, so i love the dream bigger one. but i also like be brave and breathe. i can't wait to get one of these, they're amazing!
i like the concept behind her necklaces! they are so simple ... i love the use of braille. i would choose "be thankful" just as a simple reminder that my life is good and i have so much to be grateful for!
i love those modcloth shoes also -- the teal is gorgeous!
ohhhh I love the color of your shoes, they are fantastic. The print of the dress is perfect.
You look amazing!
love your blog...glad to have stumbled upon it
I love that you went with the green platforms! Such a perfect contrast.
These shoes are stunning, but I love the dress even more. It's dresses like these that have recently inspired me to buy a sewing machine so I can learn how to make something for myself.

I love that dress. It looks fantastic on you!
I would get the Breathe necklace. I absolutely LOVE it. And as a server in a really busy restaurant...it'd make a wonderful reminder.
Love the shoes:)
And your blog too!
Besos!
You look lovely as usual. That dress is so amazing. And the shoes are totally brilliant. As for what I would choose? I don't know. Either be present or be brave or be thankful or dream bigger. Oh dear, that is all of them except breath.
Maybe be present. I have to think about this. Because now I want one.
I really love the shape of your dress! It's so flattering!

I feel as though those shoes were made for that dress! This is such a perfect styling for surrounding that necklace!
Huzzah! That Dress and those shoes, so perfect together. I gasped a little when I saw them.
I love all of the intentions, but I think I am leaning more towards Be Brave. It would be a lovely reminder to always try and experience new things - to always be daring with my life and with my passions.
I am so happy for you that you diving into a new field that you love!
love,
meg
hi i just stumbled upon your blog and absolutely love your style. the dress is beautiful on you & the shoes are killer. :]
i would pick be present because it's so easy for me to be distraught over the past or stressed about the future. but it's all about the here and now.
