These are the last of my photos from last weekend, when Chris and I went to my mother's in Maine. For those of you who do not know already, I grew up on top of a mountain at the end of a two mile dirt road with no neighbors, seclusion essentially. And I miss it so much, it was amazing to go home last weekend and be in fresh air again. I miss the woods and nature and good natural smells! Living in the city certainly has it's advantages, but nothing beats home. My mom loves to garden and grow things and her crop of Lupine's this year was particularly amazing. The thing with lupine's though is you never know if they'll come up, or where. This year they all grew around the foundation where our house used to be (it burned down in 2004 and was later re-built 100 yards away) which looked really neat. I thought the purple Lupines looked nice with my grey patterned dress.

I'm so excited because we get to go back up this weekend! My brother is graduating high school, so we'll be making the trip back to my moms. I'm hoping to take more pictures before the flowers die. This outfit was pretty basic, nice and breezy for a weekend afternoon! Although I spent more of this dress than I usually do, it was worth it- I wear it so much!
There is one more day to enter my giveaway!

You look amazing in that dress. I was wondering why it looked so familiar and then, after reading it came from UO, I remembered that I tried it on a week ago. Unfortunately, it was way too short on me.

These are just gorgeous pictures, and I love that these lupines are right outside of your mom's house!
Beautiful pictures, but tall grass makes me nervous. I'm terrified of snakes.
Such amazing pictures. I love being able to get away from the city. Sometimes it just feels nice to breath.
You're hair looks great like that!

oh this is so idyllic, the perfect location for outfit photos
This dress suits you perfectly. Also, I love the idea of living out in the middle of nowhere as much as living in a city with everything at your fingertips - it's a battle I can't figure out yet.
These pictures are so gorgeous! You look like a woodland fairy. I love how the pattern on your dress kind of matches the flowers. Beautiful!
What a beautiful place to get to grow up in! The dress is gorgeous on you!
I love the location, the purple is so strong... so pretty. The flowers really compliment the dress, such a pretty pattern.

Your family home sounds like such a special place. I've only spent time in Portland, ME, but found it to be one of the prettiest and friendliest places my travels have ever taken me.

These pictures are amazing. You look like a garden nymph!
I also like the contradiction of your very sweet surroundings with something as "wild" as an animal print.

oh this is so lovely you gorgeous lady! those flowers are incredible, and what an amazing place to grow up. i think there's definitely something to be said for raising kids in nature-filled places like the country or mountains. i feel that was a influential and really healthy part of my childhood and i miss it too!
This is my favorite photo shoot I've seen of you yet! And that dress is absolutely stunning <3 I've always wanted to go to Maine. When I was in my early teens, I wanted to go to a summer camp in Maine oh so badly.
