I got my hair done this weekend!

So even though there is practically a dress code of hiking boots, Carhartts, and flannel in my hometown, I still decided to dress up this weekend. I received this cute top from ModCloth on Thursday and couldn't wait for it to be warm enough out to wear it sans-cardigan. Well, I got my wish on Saturday, it was in the 80's! I paired it with a cute pair of navy high-waisted shorts and a leopard belt. I'm always a little hesitant to wear heels with shorts, but flats make my legs look stumpy, I stopped by TjMaxx and found the perfect pair: there's a platform but they are so easy to walk in!

I agree. Flats with shorts can be really hit or miss. I guess it just depends on the look you're going for. I think the wedges look great here. It pulls together the dressy-ness of the top. Well done.

Oh yes! I've seen that top on Erin and now you! damn I kind of wish I had it! Oh and I think I just bought the exact same shorts at "Village des Valeurs" aka Savers in Quebec, but mine are khaki! They fit exactly like yours, I can't wait to wear them with some wedges!

The blouse is INSANE! The cream lace with the collar is too much. I'd serisly throw on some leather shorts and more lace, but ugh I've got to buy it now hahaha.
Btw: My legs end up looking stumpy as well on flats, I end up just tailoring the shorts a bit at the ends/inseam to add a natural 'curve'/length to legs.

I've had my eyes on that top since I saw erin wear it when we were in NYC in February! Sometimes I wish I wasn't so damn frugal!! You love absolutely amazing in it!
