It's amazing what a little sun and warm weather can do...

Goodbye winter!

Oxford Shirt: Vintage via Salvation Army (2.00)

Wedges: Matiko via LF (40.00 sale)
Sweater Clip: Vintage via ? (old)
Belt: from a jacket
Take that Monday. This morning I feel like I actually conquered the string of terrible Mondays I've had for about two months, finally. I wanted to wear a couple of things I bought this weekend on a trip to Boston with Chris. I feel a little bad because it was supposed to be his birthday trip, and I'm the one that ended up buying stuff! I found this cute navy skirt in the UO bargain basement, which is super cute but admittedly doesn't pass my "five finger" rule for work. I've been looking for something to match this button-up I bought at Salvation Army awhile back, it reminds me of all those cute Steven Alan shirts that are way our of my price range!

I was going for a preppier look today, and also wanted to wear my new Matiko wedges. My search for comfortable heels/wedges is over. These are it! I actually ended up buying three pairs of shoes this weekend, which I know is ridiculous, but they were on sale!

Did everyone see Jen's amazingly cute post today? I'm just so so so happy for her and Kev! Congratulations!
Also, my internet is driving me bonkers.

I love this look -- very schoolgirl preppy meets Alice in Wonderland color palette. The wedges and sweater clip are super cute!

Everything is just so perfect here! love it!
The bargain basement in Cambridge?? I was just there and got an awesome pair of tights (that I just blogged about on Saturday). The skirt is great, and I agree - Boston was so gorgeous this weekend//today! Can't wait for full-fledged spring!

everything about this is perfect! i love your wedges and that was really creative to use that belt from the jacket, so cute!
Hi!
I dont usually comment - but i wanted to tell you that todays outfit is the BEST. you look great.
Kudos.
I love the skirt. I've been searching for the perfect black full mini skirt. I don't see it online though :(. My ex-roommate borrowed a nice black mini from me a long time ago and I just recently remembered that she never returned it. I wonder if it's too weird to ask for it back, lol. I like yours a lot more.
Just give me...Wolf Blitzer at Burningman.
I love your shirt - the sweater clip is such a good idea!
this is one of my favorite looks of yours to date! that oxford is even *better* than a steven alan shirt!
i genuinely love this outfit. the proportions are amazing, as are the colours.
so much for the monday blues.

absolutely LOVE your sweater clip! It's so exciting finding sweater clips since they are so rare these days. You wear it so well!
I adore this look. It's unbelievable! totally love those shoes too.
This outfit is really cute - but the belt makes it absolutely perfect! I love details like that.

I love this outfit!!
Aw, that skirt is awesome - & your new wedges are adorable, & look sooooo comfy. Nothing wrong with buying three of the same thing if you know they work for you!
CUTE OUTFIT!
Those wedges are sooper yum.
Your nose ring reminds me of English class; a boy I know, wanted that part of his nasal organ pierced too.
Omg! small world.
love this preppy look, and the sweater clip idea is fantastic!

You look amazing, and even though the skirt doesn't go by the five finger rule, when it's paired the way you do it, it's very professional in my opinion. And the shoes are awesome.
absolutely adorable! i especially love the details of the bow and little sweater clip instead of a necklace.
Holy cuteness! I, too, am celebrating the arrival of spring!
Those shoes are wonderful :)
great outfit! I love everything about it.

HA HA! I actually laughed out loud when I read the title of your post on my little bloggie list. That is so funny!
The outfit is too cute for words! Don't you love how a good outfit makes the entire day better? It kinda sounds shallow to say that, but it's totally true!
This is, hands down, my most favorite outfit of yours to date. So preppy and adorable!
Haha, your title. This is a great outfit & I love the scenery.

Those wedges are awesome!! And I love the shirt!
I love that this outfit is both a little preppy and a little bit funky:) and yay for spring!
I love this! The shoes and sweater clips are just perfect. Also, your Zach Galifianakis quote in your title caught my eye. I posted "sometimes I do something and think 'that is SO raven'" as my facebook status and quickly learned what people don't watch SNL. haha so yay for you! :)
This is a great outfit on you, i love the detail of the little sweater clip!
Love the new skirt and shoes!! Both are really cute. Comfy wedges are hard to come by for sure.. I also bought two pairs of shoes over the weekend :) i have a shoe shopping problem. I don't care :)
Your post title is funny! I'm eating waffles for dinner... I love the shirt with the (forgot the name of it) collar chain thingy!
totally love the zach reference! Not to mention the outfit!!
Very cute! When I was in middle school the rule that the school set was that skirts couldn't be higher than where your thumb rested. That's the rule I've kept with me to apply to my work skirts.
haha! that SNL was so great! This outfit out of control!!!! It is seriously killing me... killing me softly!
This outfit is so sweet! I love the way your hair is styled, too. It really adds to the overall appearance of your look.
Best opening monologue on SNL EVER.... Zach Galifianakis almost made me pee the pants!!!
ps.....love your get up!
I may have said this before... but I take it back... this is my favourite look! Ahhhh! And I'm having serious ponytail envy...
SWEATER CLIP!
Jeal.
That was the funniest SNL opening I've seen in a long time. Maybe ever.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this outfit. That is all.
I love those shoes! You got them for $40?! Where did you get them?
i LOVE this outfit.. like loooove this outfit.
This outfit is absolutely fabulous. Love the details of the bow at the waist and the collar chain. Even as sweet as this look is, you give it a great dose of funk. Love it!
Fabulous shirt. I always want a crisp looking shirt for outfits like this, but am too lazy to iron. Maybe I should get some spray starch.
The volume of that skirt is awesome! And that sweater clip is pretty cool.
I really hope the title of the blog is a Zach Galifianakis joke lolz. I love love love the clip on!

That sweater clip is amazing. Can I come borrow it?! Annie.
Oh, I love this! The bow belt, the wedges. It's so sweet!
I'm a pilates freak too! Almost been going for a year now. Oh, and I love your sweater clip. Trying to figure out how to make my own with vintage clip-on earrings. Any idea?
