Is my vague Wayne's World reference doing anything for you? No? Ok...

Tee: old Forever 21 (5.00?)
Cardigan: H&M (16.00)
Jeans: old H&M (24.00?)
Necklaces: H&M x2 & Dolly&Boy
Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell (60.00 sale...yep, that's right)
Let us now refer to this post, where I professed my undying love for the Jeffrey Campbell Whip heel. It's beautiful. Now, let us all admit that today's outfit is about one thing, and one thing only: WHAT IS ON MY FEET. These beautiful, rockabilly inspired, brian-setzer-orchestra-on-crack beauties, now belong to me! And how much did I pay? Sixty freaking dollars! Ha! I will admit however, that I spent about $20 extra dollars at Target on padded re-enforcement to make wearing them bearable.

It's safe to say I am incredibly pleased.

All snarky-ness aside, this year I told myself I would invest in a few pairs of beautiful shoes. Still, after making the resolution, I find it difficult to drop more than 50-60 bucks on a pair, I believe that the majority of the time you can find what you want for much cheaper if you just practice patience. so I was so excited to discover these on sale in Boston on Saturday. Now I just have to hunt down the Alexa's and I'll be a happy girl (Yes, I know, in my dreams!)!
On another note, I realized today that I actually am able to have my lunch breaks back. It's finally light out enough after work to take my outfit photos, no more rushing to eat and photograph at lunchtime! I'm so excited for daylight savings time this weekend, Spring is just around the corner!

Your shoes are amazing. Love your glasses too! :)
Isn't the warm weather just amazing? It makes me so happy. :)
I understand what you mean about not wanting to spend a lot of money on shoes (or anything else for that matter). I know that there is definitely a cost for quality, but sometimes 2nd best is just fine. I guess it just depends on what it is you're looking for and whether its an investment piece or just something cool to add to your closet.
Nice job on the patience--that is true thrifter strength right there! The wait makes the victory of wearing the shoes that much sweeter. I know you will get a lot of use out of them!
The shoes are amazingly cute. I am so with you on not spending too much - I feel bad sometimes when I plop down too much money on something - but there is no greater feeling when it's something truly worth it.
I used to sell those shoes in the early 90's and we called them "creepers"...you rock them damn well!!!!

ooo.. cute shoes to the MAX! You're style inspires me every time I visit your blog (which is quite often). Wanted to let you know that I got a Volvo wagon! Thanks for your guidance. We should start a Volvo wagon fan club!
What amazing shoes! I really like the animal print and your Wayne's World reference is so not lost. My freshmen dorm in college had a Wayne's World theme and although I maxed out on it that year, I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for that movie, and the strange strange Tia Carrera character..

I love the colours in the heels! And for $60, what a deal.
I hope your knees are ok with the added support. (I have arthritis too, so I totally get the pain thing..)
Enjoy your lunch breaks from today!

I also struggle to part with too many pennies when it comes to shoes....and well everything else if I'm honest. Frugal til the end.
Julie, I think we have the same glasses... Are those real? Ray Bans? Espresso color not black?
I love this outfit. It looks like something I would totally wear and those shoes are great. The outfit is definitely all about the shoes!

A.) Those shoes are kickass!
B.) I couldn't agree more about the virtue of patience re: puchasing shoes at a cheaper price.
C.) I have the same issue with trying to rush to get pictures taken in daylight. I'll welcome the extra daylight with open arms.

i'm sorry. i tried. i really tried to concentrate on what you were writing and talking about in this post, but i couldn't get past those incredibly beautiful shoes! forgive me? ;)
Yay for Wayne's World! I was just at the record store the other day buying the newest Avett Brother's cd, and I was suddenly possessed to say "I'll take it! Do you accept....cash?". And then I paid with a credit card, which confused the pants off of the sales guy.
Anyway, that's my story. And I LOVE those shoes!
