Today is possibly the first time I've worn earrings in, maybe two years? It's funny because earrings used to be my go-to accessory (and I have an amazing collection) but I never wear them anymore. Weird how our preferences can fluctuate like that, don't you think? Today though, I rediscovered what used to be my absolute favorite pair.
I absolutely LOVE the pairing of red and blue, I think blue just sets off red so much, makes it brighter. This is dress definitely one of my go-to pieces. It's so versatile. I didn't end up getting home from the Gallery until around midnight last night, so today I was extremely sleepy and wanted an easy outfit to throw on. The boater sweater was lying on my dresser, and considering how cold it was today (can you see my red nose?) I opted for some extra warmth.
Well, I'm happy to say that the installation of artwork in our show is almost done. Bea and I drove to the gallery after work today, and installed the artwork with some (major) help from the FiveSevenDelle folks. I hope some of you can make it on Saturday, the work looks amazing!

My photos didn't quite come out the way I had hoped today, a little disjointed. It was cold and windy, yeah..let's just blame it on the weather!

Yes! I always forget about blue and red together like that, but it always looks beautiful together.

Loovveee your outfit, that jacket is great!
I also used to wear earrings loads, but now I just wear a simple pair of pearl earrings all the time. I rather wear long pendants or chunky bracelets now.

Earrings are still my go-to accessory. And your earrings are very eye-catching with the outfit! I love the pop of red against the more subdued colours. And the boat-neck sweater is great too. I love the stripes and the neckline.

The striped and the dress are so great! I am going to have to try this.
Love the little pop of red in the earrings. I need to start wearing mine more often
I love your eye make up and wouldn't mind seeing a tutorial on how to.
Those earings need to be put into heavy rotation realyl cute!
Good Luck at the art show!
noooooot gonna lie. when I saw photo 1, I thought you had a red heart tattoo on your neck. that would have been awesome. haha diggin' the outfit as always. stay warm!
Love the pairing of that collared shirt with the sweater! You look so chic and glamorous :)
Great outfit--I too enjoy pairing red with blue! Your earrings are super cute as well. Good luck and have fun at the art show this weekend!!

I think the photos look great!
Cute sweater!;))
i love that second picture of yours so much! great pairing of the striped sweater with your oxford dress. :)
love this look. the earrings are cool.
fortunately for you, you don't really need earrings to jazz up an outfit since you're blessed with YOUR HAIR!
I love the boat neck w/the oxford...wouldn't have thought of pairing those two necklines together but there's something pretty parisian about it, I think
I LOVE the juxtaposition of the two collars - so chic and something I never would have thought of! I'm the same way with earrings - I have a million pairs but I just wear plain tiny silver balls (I worked with special needs kids in college, so I stopped wearing dangly earrings then, and now it's been so long I feel like I look weird when I wear them!)
Super cute, as always! I just got asked to work until about 10 pm tonight, so it doesn't look like I'll make it to the reception. I'm pretty grumpy about it. I hope you share some photos!
I used to be the same way with earrings! I never wear them anymore because my hair always covers up my ears. These are really pretty though, the red and blue look great together. That sweater is adorable too!
I'm loving the throwback to all things striped! You look darling!
I think it's official after seeing this latest post that we should swap links.
Yep. Let it be done.

just today i was wondering how long it would take for my earring holes to close up because its been SO long since i've worn any earrings. those look great on you though!
The earrings are beautiful! I definitely agree the red and blue look great together.
i love your oxford dress! every time you wear it i am more and more inclined to buy it from american apparel! you have styled it so many different ways!
i used to be super obsessed with unique earrings when i had a pixie haircut! now that it's longer, i find myself gravitating towards studs.

I love those earrings! And I totally agree about wearing red and blue together. And together combined they make the best color ever...PURPLE!!
Your earrings are so adorable, especially paired with the other colors i your outfit! I always think it is so funny how my tastes and go-to items change!
I love your outfit!!! This is just the perfect combination, I can't even put into words how much I adore this whole look, top to bottom ;)
I also love red and blue : )
your style never seizes to amaze me! i especially love the post below too, with the pink scarf. simple yet gorgeous.
I love red, blue, and white-- but I always shy away from it cause I don't want to look like I'm supposed to be in a patriotic parade! Ha. I think toning it down with grays or blacks also works.
Super cute!
You do look cold, but SUPER cute! I love this outfit!!
