Just a quick post before bed, today really flew by...

Scarf: Vintage hand-me-down
Tee-Shirt: Gap (9.00)
Skirt: J.Crew outlet (8.00)
Tights: TjMaxx (4.99)
Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell (39.00 sale)
Belt: J.Crew outlet (15.00)
Glasses: Urban Outfitters (4.99)
I wish my photos came out a little better today, but it was too cold to care! I really wanted to document this outfit though, I love the combination of the mint skirt with brown and purple. I've been wearing the hell out of this scarf lately, it really ties the whole look together. I think I need more scarves! This skirt is another I bought during my holiday break spent up in Maine, the color is perfect mint. I altered the fit a little by adding two pleats in the front, making it sit higher on my natural hip. I hate when skirts languish in the middle, just below your belly button but not high or low enough to make sense. It was super easy and I'm glad I figured out a way to make it work.
Also, I'm pretty sure the two images below cemented my reputation as "the crazy girl who takes pictures of herself at 2 o'clock every single day" in my town:

Don't forget to enter my giveaway! It runs until midnight est. on Saturday!

I love this outfit. All the colors go together perfectly. I have been scouting for a mint skirt for ages.
This outfit is adorable, and I've been in love with the pattern of that scarf for quite some time.
I got a mint skirt not too long ago, and it's been pretty versatile with lots of things in my closet.
Love your jumping pics! - JoAnn, Sidewalk Chalk
This has got to be my favorite outfit so far. I agree with JoAnn, I've been drooling over that scarf for awhile now, everytime I see that its a handme down I get disappointed all over again. And love those shoes!
THat mint green color is so pretty against the landscape.

Love the colors in this outfit and I need to know how to wear a scarf like that! I feel like none of the scarves I have will sit that way around my neck. Time to buy new ones, I suppose.
those glasses are from urban?? i think it's time. i must break down and buy myself some sweet fake glasses to make me feel smart. i love the librarian look much too much to ignore this issue any longer.
the scarf is so pretty wrapped around and around like that...love!
I am constantly inspired by what you wear. Seriously, I could have worn a sign that said, "Oh this fashion awesomeness... totally not me... its this girl on this blog orchid grey... just go!"

What a totally super skirt you have there! I always feel iffy altering new purchases, but with my thrifted goodies I don't hesitate at all. Strange huh.
Regardless, I've been reading your blog for some time now, and you inspired me to start one up too.. Very early early days now, but I just wanted to say quick thank you for the inspiration.
Have a great weekend from

I love your jumping photos.. so fun! I tried once a couple weeks ago and just looked like an awkward clumsy freak with a terrified expression. NOT CUTE.
Anyways, the scarf is adorable and I found similar shoes at the thrift store last week.. $5.. BAM.
reallllly, really like this. a lot. the styling is great. great neutrals and your hair looks especially awesome in these photos. but my favorite-favorite is the scarf because it adds some warmth to the palette and to what i imagine you felt like in that snow. don't see how you snow ladies do it!
I love the skirt. But... how do you tie your scarf like that. I try all the time and can never get it right.
