It was so cold out today, the clock on the bank said it was *36, but I think it felt more like *20. The kind of cold that just cuts right through your jacket. I'm trying my hardest to really appreciate every season this year, but it's difficult to not wish Winter away when I'm getting all these emails from Urban Outfitters and Victoria's Secret advertising bathing suits, and "early Spring", and "Spring previews"...were five months away from "early spring"! bah!
I felt nice and sunny today though, despite the cold. This yellow dress is one of my favorites and proving to be one of my most versatile pieces. So far it's worked for every season, despite being made out of linen. Yellow and black seemed to be the theme of the day too, two other people were wearing the combination at work!
Chris and I did some major thrifting this evening, I can't wait to show off all my finds! I love going to Salvation Army during the week, the place is almost completely empty and pristine.

If any one is interested in a tutorial on how to do this hairstyle, you can find the video HERE!

Ooh! Black and yellow is one of my favorite color combos and so few people ever even go for it.
I adore this look completely!
You look so lovely!
I wish I had a boy who enjoyed some major thrifting. Can't wait to go watch the video (even if I don't have hair long enough).
I feel you about going to the thrift store during the week. I love how it feels like you've got the place all to yourself. I'll be making a trip on Friday morning :)
love the outfit! The colors are beautiful!
Hah, I thought the shadow from the fence was the pattern in your tights at first!
Super cute outfit, and love the tutorial! My hair just gets plastered to my head if I don't wash it though, so I don't know if I can pull it off!

I adore your belt! I'm planning on making a Salvation Army trip myself. It's in this very difficult-to-find location, so they always have amazing things! Annie.
I also thought for a moment that your tights were patterned. These photos are so lovely with the light and shadows. Your outfit is lovely, too!
oh my holy cuteness. i looooove.
This colour combination is wonderful!
I love the pattern on your jacket.
And love the hair! I wish mine was long enough to try it.
Love everything about this!
i just watched your braid tutorial and totally nailed it. i'm super stoked about this because just today i was frustrated with my long hair and how i don't have anything to do with it. which made me contemplate chopping it. but! this'll do fine. i was skeptical because i have bangs, but i made it work.
thanks!
this outfit is amazing and so are you!

That belt is such an awesome find!!! I love it!
oh my gosh totally gorgeous! I really love that sweater!!
That dress is great all seasons! Such a nice jolt of colour in the midst of the long-ass winter.
I laugh at some Cali bloggers who can sometimes ditch a coat or expose a bit of skin... In the colder zones this winter is sooo far from over. Boo...
Cute outfit! :) That belt is terrific!

LOVE everything about this. Yellow and black is such a great color combo. That belt is adorable, and I like the way the cardigan is wrapped around--it definitely gives it new life. Way to go!
That cardigan looks fabulous over that dress and I love the way you made it look more like a wrap top. I'm going to have to try that!
I adore your outfit! The belt is just so darn perfect!
That's what I've been working on lately, building my wardrobe with skirts and dresses that are great year round.. this one is perfect! Brings some nice color to this drab winter.
Awsome outfit.
I really like the combination of these colours!Aren't you cold wearing only these clothes?
I love your outfit! I had a similar sweater and gave it away last year and now I am wishing I kept it.
I have been hibernating this winter. Sometimes I don't leave my apartment for days at a time.... its bad. I just hate the cold so much!
I wish it felt like 20 here.
I think it's -3 here right now. That's assuming you're talking celsius.
Anyway, I love your hair and outfit. It makes me wish I didn't chop all my hair off.
This combination is absolutely fabulous! Love it!
I adore this look on you. And I love the color combo.
Can't wait to see your find from the SA
Love everything about this look. Especially the way you styled the cardigan with the belt. This may also be one of my very favorite color combinations.
I don't know how you do it!
I go to work wearing leggings under my jeans then 2 pairs of socks then boots over that. And probably 2 sweaters and my winter coat!
It has been SO COLD lately I have been having trouble being stylish!

I love how you made a normal cardigan look like a wrap sweater! So cute....
Great belt! I love the yellow dress with the black and white print.
Love your hair, I will never have a talent for it like that.
P.S it's around that temp here in Chicago too and we're walking around with our coats unzipped- that's considered a heat wave hunnie :)
First, this outfit is lovely!
Second, how do you wrap your cardigan like that? I like it a lot - it's a really good idea! I've noticed you doing similar wrapping before on men's shirts, etc. but can't figure out how to recreate via pictures. Thanks for any advice!
Hey. I don't usually comment on your blog even though I like to check it regularly, but you looked mega cute in this outfit! Absolutely loved it.
