You might be asking yourself "why is this girl leaping like an idiot?", well I'll tell you: at approximately 11:06 am this morning my travel season for work officially ended. This is huge. It ENDED. Am I over- reacting? It may seem like it, but in the past two and a half months I have driven over 9,000 miles, visited around 60 different high schools, talked to (I'm sure) thousands of high school kids, and have risen for work almost daily at the ungodly hour of 5:00 am. So yes, I think I am allowed to take pictures in a parking lot of myself jumping around like a five year old hopped-up on Pixie Stix and then post said photos on the internet. Yay! So I'm really happy, we've covered that.
Now, my outfit. I have a definite thing for vintage leather skirts. Whether they be suede, nubuck, or leather, I love the high waisted fit and great texture. I found this suede skirt at a Salvation Army in Raymond, Maine which- for those of you who don't know your Maine geography- is out in the middle of nowhere. I still hold to the belief that the best thrift stores are either at churches or in the boonies! My belt is one of my favorites, I love the gold owls! So, if you're ever in Maine and need some thrift recommendations, let me know!
I hope you all have a great weekend!

Your expression in the second photo cracks me up.
Yay, glad your crazy days of on-the-go are over! That 5 am part sounded brutal.
I love this look and am especially enamored with that awesome gold owl belt! So cool! S.
Yay!!!! I don't blame you one bit. That would get really old. Plus, you look spectacular, so just one more reason to jump up and down!
aw, what a great belt you have!
<3

Congrats on your travelling season being over! Love the skirt on you :)
wow, well congrats for being done with that long trip!

Yay, congrats on the end of your traveling season! I just love this outfit. You always know how to rock those vintage leather skirts, and the gold jewelry is such a great accent!
Congratulations! I love the whole outfit, especially that little belt, I just posted a similar one on my TopShop wishlist :)
This look is awesome! The perfect end to your travel season! :)
Love the detailed shot showing the belt/ruffle shirt/necklace. The photo locale is great, too. And congrats on the travel session ending...rough times, I'm sure! (I don't even get home until 3 or 4 in the morning most nights - can't imagine waking up not far from there!)
God helps those who help themselves........................................
yay! yay! I love that you are jumping! I love the pop of red with those shoes and don't even get me started on that belt! I should have secretly snuck that belt out of your house last night. Hmmm or did I?
Have a great weekend!

dang. that belt.
the whole outfit is really just the bombdiggity, but that belt!
...and $1!
That belt is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.
that skirt fits so nicely! it's hard to find leather that fits from thrift stores, and tailoring it would be super expensive i think.
i'm so happy your travel season has ended! i'm back in the admission office for a few weeks and the counselors are so relieved to be done with travel .. now it's just getting through all the early action apps!
Sounds like a reason to jump in a parking lot to me!
Superfun outfit! I love the details.
And congrats on your R&R from traveling!
I know the feeling, I hate traveling for work. The owls are darling, great find!
aw, adorable photos. i LOVE your belt, what a find!

I would love your recommendations for Maine thrift stores near the Bath, Portland, or Freeport general areas (or off the main coastal highway in between). Thanks!!!
I love your little owl belt. So cute!
Congrats! I hope you get to enjoy a little extra sleep. That's definitely worthy of some exuberant photo shoots. As for the outfit I am especially in LOVE with this belt!!! Awesome!!

***YAY*** (that was a virtual jump on your behalf)
I want your owl belt so badly!
love your posts! very lovely outfit as well :)
I live in Maine and would love love love thrifting ideas/places.
I don't think your overreacting about being done with travel for work. I too travel internationally for work all the time and it can be so draining and it’s really hard to have a personal life and keep in touch when you're always on the road.
HAHA These photos are the best!! I love your expressions in each of them. Congratulations on the end of your travel season. Yay, enjoy the sleeping in!
Amazing outfit as always, btw.
